Solid shutters, which are available in our wood ranges, are most like the original Victorian shutters sometimes still found in classic properties today. Using a solid raised design similar to the original shutters, we can create a very stylish and unique look for your property.
We can also, where required, create a Solid Based shutter design. This style of shutter is ideal in a door or room divider where stronger and more robust shutters are called for.
Using a solid raised panel in the lower section of the panels, louvers are then used above a midpoint to have the best of both designs. Light filtration and privacy can be controlled by the louvers whilst the solid and stable base will be more robust. This look works very well in doors where there is a glazed window with a solid panel below. It is also ideal in room dividers where louvered shutters may be more easily damaged but where a full solid shutter would be too imposing or make a room too dark. The overall effect that we can achieve works very well indeed. We can easily incorporate this style of shutter with a track system to cover very wide openings when needed as well.
Available in our Phoenix & Carolina ranges with all colour, louver and style options, the solid based style is worth considering and we will be happy to suggest this option and discuss in detail the advantages that may be gained from using it at our design visit. We have images of past works that we can show to help our Clients visualise how their shutters may look.
