We provided our client with various coloured full height shutters to suit the décor of their rooms over two phases. This article details what happened in phase one back in January 2014. After you’ve read this you might like to read about the second project we worked on with this client.
The property in Reigate, Surrey is arranged over several floors and already had shutters in a couple of rooms before the client called us. The client wanted to dress the majority of the house in shutters, and was keen to use colours to compliment the décor.
Unusually, the guest bathroom was ordered in a dark wood stain to match the style required. This is not common in bathrooms as wooden shutters are not guaranteed against moisture damage, but the bathroom was a decent size and well ventilated so the client agreed to proceed.
The most stunning shutters were designed for the master bedroom suite and finished in Farrow & Ball ‘Rectory Red’. The long slot window of the dressing room and the main sash of the bedroom are dressed in hardwood shutters with a custom colour finish to match the feature wall of the room. A very bold statement which works well in this room and the shutters look amazing.
The final shutters in the dining area are in our Georgia range, coloured Blue Grey, from our ‘Eleven Collection’. This collection uses a selected range of copies from the existing Farrow & Ball colour chart which we can offer as standard in our Georgia and hardwood shutters.
All the shutters have 63m louvres and use the hidden tilt control mechanism for a simple, stylish look with clean lines.
