Are shutters waterproof?
The key benefits of this product range are its toughness and the fact it is waterproof.
Our Hollywood range is the ideal product for your bathroom or kitchen. Made from ABS plastic this product is guaranteed against water damage. Used for many purposes, ABS is lightweight, tough and can be injection moulded and extruded which make it the ideal material to produce plantation shutters.
This range offers a stylish, practical and hard-wearing window covering, where other products cannot cope with the humid and moist atmosphere.
Any fabric product can suffer from mildew, whilst thin wood Venetian blinds can warp easily from the humidity.
No other window treatment can complement feature shaped windows either as shutters are custom made to fit triangular and curved windows of any shape or size.
Essentially a plastic product, this range stands out from all other plastic shutters on the market as it looks fantastic and is difficult to tell apart from top end wood ranges.
Can you put wood shutters in a bathroom?
Whilst Hollywood is the ideal bathroom shutter, we can, in the right situation, offer any of our other ranges. It might be we’ve installed shutters elsewhere in your property that you’d like us to match.
If your bathroom is well ventilated and the shutter is not directly over a bath, shower or sink, there should be no problem at all. It should be noted, however, that you would not have a guarantee on an alternative product installed in a bathroom.
We have a variety of materials available, starting from our entry level Seattle LDF range right up to the premium Carolina hardwood range.
What styles of shutter are best suited to a bathroom?
The style you choose should be influenced by two things – light and privacy. Our Café style and Tier on Tier shutters for example, will let in the most light when opened, but might not provide the privacy you require.
Full Height shutters remain our most popular style as you have the most control over both.
What colours can I choose from?
This product is available in the 23 painted shades below and you have the option to custom colour match to your exact requirements.
